She has won several Independent Artist awards such as Best Female Artist and Best Female R&B Artist. Her vocals can also be heard on a variety of collaborative projects with other artist in various genres. She also finds time for community and cultural awareness. She has had the opportunity to entertain and educate at their festivals and other events through music. She was awarded the Rafiki Award by the organization for her service throughout the years. Miss Joyce also founded her own company King of Queens Entertainment, LLC and began to have events for the youth and also to further her music endeavors. When asked Do you think that you are prepared if a major label approaches you about a deal? Why? or why not? Her reply was, "I feel prepared but it has got to be worth my while. I know what I have to offer regardless of major exposure. Never judge a book by its cover, real talk. I get a few offers a month but either there is always a catch or not what I need right now, because I’m already doing what they can offer on my own. I am not willing to give up my creativity, with that said millions or not, I love my Independent Status right now." She believes in female empowerment and was selected to be a part of groups such as Ladies Making Moves, Women of Spirit, Jazz and Soul and was featured as the R&B Diva of The Memphis Queens. Miss Joyce has been featured in several magazines, blogs and television shows including Six In the City, ABC-24 and TTEN 46.1. She was a Semi-Finalist for the Steve Harvey morning show singing competition. Miss Joyce has had the opportunity to open and headline for artist such as Kia Shine, MJG, Mint Condition and Comedian Nephew Tommy. Her last album,"The Tipping Point" is truly a wonderful transition; that will keep you wanting to hear what is next from the songstress. The Tipping Point has received several reviews of the entire project including The Independent Music Scene (U.K.), Examiner.com and Ladies Making Moves magazine. Miss Joyce submitted her latest single to Stax Fresh Trax held at the legendary Stax Museum, she received great reviews from several members of the Memphis Music Commission. Miss Joyce has also had the honor of being mentored by the Grammy Award-winning David Porter from the legendary duo “Sam and Dave” of Stax Records after being accepted to the MMT Consortium program. She is currently working on her project that is anticipated to be released Spring 2016.
